Sleepless Nights of Santa Cruz

Sleepless Nights is a five-piece band, based in Santa Cruz, CA, dedicated to bringing lively, danceable and exciting music to all types of venues. We bring our own sound system and lighting, and are equipped for small, medium and large venues including outdoor events.  We would love to play for You!

Our repertoire has been curated to provide the best danceable rock and roll from the 1960’s through contemporary music periods. Terry O’Toole - Guitar

As the founding member, Terry has played guitar with Sleepless Nights for over a decade and has performed locally at numerous Central Coast venues including Henfling’s, Joe’s Bar and Steel Bonnet as well as The Cat’s in Los Gatos, regularly for the Santa Cruz Wharf to Wharf race and for private events. Terry also believes in giving back to the community and has done benefits for the military as well as for local flood and fire victims.

Ramon Marc Butler - Guitar, Vocals

Marc has worked with a variety of bands in the U.S and internationally since the 1980’s and has been based on the Central Coast since 1994, performing with Swytchback and currently with the Buffalo Blues Trio and Sleepless Nights.   Marc has performed extensively for Central Coast venues, including the Redwood Mountain Faire, Felton Music Hall, The Historic Brookdale Lodge, Davenport Roadhouse, Applejacks, Shanty Shack Brewing, Big Basin Winery, The Crows Nest, The Trout Farm Inn, Vino By The Sea and at national corporate events and Central Coast civic functions.

Fred DeKalb - Bass, Vocals

From a musical family, Fred’s been playing guitar and singing for most of his life.  Major influences are popular music from the 60’s and 70’s and folk music from around the world.  Fred plays guitar, bass and ukulele and has been the Bass player and vocalist for the Hot Fuse band for 10 years.

Heather Turey - Keyboards, Vocals

 Heather has been singing and playing keyboards in the South Bay and Santa Cruz areas since the 1980’s.  As a member of the Northern California Songwriters Association, she appeared in numerous showcases and songwriting  competitions.  She has played and sung with Santa Cruz bands Zeus And The Lesser Gods and Live Oak Jam.   She is a current member of the West Coast Songwriters Association.

 John Kennedy - Drums, Vocals and Harmonica

John has played in several bands in San Lorenzo Valley including Live Wire, No Guarantee, Broken Fences and Bullfrog. Some of the venues played  include Henflings, Joe’s Bar and the old Trout Farm.
